Signal Brief

Checking six different pages every morning to find out what changed overnight is slow and easy to miss. The Signal Brief solves this by pulling together every meaningful signal — copycats, reviews, listing changes, revenue events, goal status, and ranking shifts — and presenting them in a single prioritized view, so you know in seconds what actually needs your attention today.

Accessing the Signal Brief

  1. Click Monitoring in the sidebar.
  2. The Today tab loads automatically.

Six signal streams

The Signal Brief covers six categories of signals, checked in this priority order:

Stream What it watches
Revenue Churn events, MRR drops, significant subscriber loss
Rankings Drops in keyword or category positions
Copycats New apps detected that closely resemble yours
Reviews New low-rating reviews on your app listing
Goals Tracked goals that are off-track or at risk
Listing changes Detected changes to your app's listing content

Three tiers

Every signal is sorted into one of three buckets:

Attention Required

Signals that are high-severity or that you've explicitly promoted (see Signal Prominence). These appear at the top in a highlighted section. If you check nothing else today, check these.

On the Radar

Lower-severity signals that are worth knowing about but don't require immediate action. Presented below Attention Required so they're visible without crowding the urgent items.

Quiet

A category appears in the Quiet section when the brief checked it and found nothing to report. "No churn," "No new low reviews," "No ranking drops," and so on. Quiet is informative — it confirms Ranksy looked and found nothing, rather than leaving you wondering whether the category was checked.

⚠️ A muted category (see Signal Prominence) does not appear in Quiet. Ranksy doesn't collect signals for muted categories at all.

App scope

By default the Signal Brief is scoped to your currently-selected app — the same app shown in the rest of the Revenue and ASO hubs. Use the app selector dropdown at the top of the page to switch to a different app or to select All apps and see signals across your entire portfolio.

Deep links

Every signal in the brief links directly to the relevant page where you can take action. A copycat signal links to your Competitors hub; a churn signal links to the Churn tab in Revenue; a ranking drop links to the Keywords page. You never have to manually navigate to find the underlying data.

Date window

The brief defaults to the last 7 days (today inclusive). You can adjust the window using the date picker at the top of the page if you want to look back further or narrow to today only.

FAQ

Q: The brief shows nothing under Attention Required. Is something wrong? A: No — it means there are no high-severity signals in the current window for the selected app. Check the On the Radar and Quiet sections for the full picture.

Q: I have three apps but only see one app's signals. A: The brief defaults to your currently-selected app. Use the app selector dropdown and choose All apps to see signals across all of them.

Q: How often is the brief updated? A: Signal data refreshes daily alongside the rest of Ranksy's data pipeline. Reload the page to get the latest.

Q: Can I get the Signal Brief by email? A: Yes — see Signal Brief email digest.
