Goals
Goals
Goals let you define targets for your app — a keyword rank you want to reach, an install milestone, or an MRR level —
and track progress against them over time. Goals that are at risk or recently achieved surface automatically in your
daily Signal Brief.
Accessing Goals
1. Select your app in the sidebar under My Apps
2. Click Goals in the sidebar navigation
Goal Types
Ranksy supports three types of goals:
| Type | What you track | Example | | --- | --- | --- | | Ranking | Position for a keyword or in a category | Reach
top 5 for "inventory management" | | Installs | Net installs in a period | Reach 500 installs this month | | Revenue |
MRR or total revenue | Hit $10,000 MRR |
Creating a Goal
1. Click New Goal
2. Select a Goal Type
3. Set the Target value
4. Set a Target Date (optional but recommended)
5. Add a Label to identify the goal
6. Click Save
💡 Be specific. "Rank #1 for inventory" is more useful than "improve rankings."
Tracking Progress
Each goal card shows:
- Current value vs target
- Progress bar — how close you are
- Status — On Track, At Risk, or Achieved
- Days remaining to the target date (if set)
Status is recalculated daily using the latest synced data from your connected integrations.
Status Definitions
| Status | Meaning | | --- | --- | | On Track | Current trajectory reaches the target by the deadline | | At Risk |
Progress is too slow or moving in the wrong direction | | Achieved | Target reached | | No Data | Required integration
not connected |
⚠️ Ranking goals require no integration. Install goals require Partner API. Revenue goals require Partner API.
Signal Brief Integration
Goals surface in your daily Monitoring Signal Brief:
- At Risk goals appear as alerts so you know when to act
- Achieved goals appear as wins so nothing gets missed
You don't need to check the Goals page daily — the Signal Brief brings the important changes to you.
Editing and Deleting Goals
To edit a goal:
1. Open Goals
2. Click the goal card
3. Update the fields
4. Click Save
To delete a goal:
1. Open the goal card
2. Click Delete
3. Confirm deletion
Deleting a goal removes it from the Signal Brief. Historical progress data is not retained.
Tips
Set goals for your next quarter
Use a 90-day window. Long enough to be meaningful, short enough that progress is visible week over week.
Pair ranking goals with ASO work
Set a ranking goal for your top target keyword, then use AI Suggestions → Keywords to find listing changes that move the
needle.
Watch At Risk goals in the Signal Brief
You don't need to open the Goals page every day. If a goal goes At Risk, it will appear in your Monitoring → Today brief
automatically.
FAQ
Q: How often is goal progress updated? A: Daily, in line with your integration sync schedule. Rankings update overnight;
revenue and installs update after each Partner API sync.
Q: Can I set a goal for a keyword I'm not tracking yet? A: You need to be tracking the keyword in the ASO hub first. Go
to ASO → Tracked and add the keyword, then come back to Goals.
Q: What happens if I miss a goal deadline? A: The goal status changes to At Risk. You can update the target date or
delete the goal and create a new one.
Q: Can team members share goals? A: Goals are visible to all team members with access to the app. Any Admin or above can
create, edit, or delete goals.
